The report set out initial thoughts in respect of achieving some of the significant savings facing the Council and sought authority for the use of reserve funds to progress one initiative.
The Cabinet resolved that:
1) the content of the report be noted and endorsed; and
2) approval be given to the engagement of consultants to assist with the consideration of alternative delivery models in respect of the leisure centres, as set out in the report, with the estimated cost being met from the Invest to Save earmarked reserve.
Reasons: As set out in the report of the Management Team (contains exempt information).
